The route starts from Ginosa, a town on the border between Puglia and Basilicata, whose historic center is lapped by a fascinating ravine that follows the path of an ancient stream.

The road continues immersing itself in the rugged and wild natural landscape up to the rolling hills of the Murgia, skirting the protected area of ​​the Murgia Materana Park, a limestone plateau covered with typical Mediterranean vegetation and extremely rich in rock finds of prehistoric origin.

A final climb of about 6 km with gentle slopes leads to the finish line in the center of Matera, known throughout the world for the historic Sassi districts, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which make it one of the oldest still inhabited cities in the world.

29.5 km and 646 m of elevation gain. These are the numbers of a route in one of the most evocative places in Southern Italy.
