The Brompton World Championship (also known as BWC) will be held on Sunday, April 16, 2023 from 10:00.

An exciting race - organized under the patronage of the City of Moncalieri, the UISP Committee of Turin, the sponsor and promoter of the event Bike_id and media partner Cosmo - that develops on a path between asphalt and dirt.

The event, held within the Fair of cycling tourism, starts from the Cascina delle Vallere in Corso Trieste 98 in Moncalieri, where from 10.00 to 11.45 participants will be welcomed. The route It is 10 laps on a 1 km circuit (550 m of asphalt and 450 m of light dirt) for a total of 10 km to do strictly with the iconic English folding bike. The only Italian stage is organized in one of the most beautiful green areas that extends between Turin and Moncalieri and that is part of the Po Piedmontese Protected Areas also home to the Biosphere Reserve Mab UNESCO Collina Po.

Folding Contest at BWC Torino 2023

Not only will the fastest rider win, but also the fastest rider of the Brompton. The selections to participate in the Folding Contest will be held at the acceptance, then between 10.00 and 11.45, anyone who wishes you can test, chronometer in hand, in closing your bike. It seems that the best ones need only 7 seconds. The eight fastest times will participate in the final that will be held on stage at the time of the awards ceremony.

Dress Code Parade at BWC Torino 2023

At 12.00 there will be a parade to ride all together and consolidate the sense of community that distinguishes fans of Brompton. At the end of the full lap in addition to the fastest will be awarded by a jury the Bromptonian with the most original dress.

The cost for participation is 45 euros for the Race and the Parade Dress Code and 25 euros for the Parade Dress Code only; both tickets give access to the Folding Contest. Ticket sales are scheduled until Saturday 15 April 2023.
