La Balotta Gravel

The La Balotta Gravel is the event that celebrates the most convivial and authentic spirit of "white road" cycling among the hills of Valsamoggia, based in Savigno (BO). The name itself, "Balotta", in the Bolognese dialect refers to the concept of good company and fun, elements that define this non-competitive ride.

Participating means immersing yourself in an Apennine landscape of calanchi (clay crags), Pignoletto vineyards, and historic villages. The route alternates between secondary paved roads and panoramic gravel sections, with the added value of gourmet pit stops featuring local specialties like gnocco fritto, mortadella, and truffles.
